title Vigil : Providing Trust for Enhanced Security in Pervasive Systems

abstract As wirelessly networked appliances and devices are becoming commonplace, there is a necessity for providing more comprehensive security in these environments. In pervasive computing, users expect to access resources and services anytime and anywhere, leading to serious security risks. Traditional security fails to meet the demands of these environments. This paper presents an infrastructure that complements existing security features like Simple Public Key Infrastructure (SPKI) with distributed trust to provide a highly flexible mode of enforcing a security policy in a pervasive computing environment.
